This book is a first edition of the work and is labeled as a having "thirty three full-page plates by Louis Agassiz Fuertes, and over six hundred cuts in the text."
 
Measures 7 1/2" x 5 1/4" x 1.5". Hardcover. Some marking from library reference on spine and in pencil on a couple pages. All text and illustrations in good condition. Some browning along edges of pages and some wear on cover, but overall in nice condition.
